Overall this was a pleasant stay. The automated text messages sent before my arrival were out of date, talking about COVID restrictions that were long ago updated - they should fix that. As is common with many hotels now, I was surprised to see parking tacked on at 11.50 a night. Honestly, hotels should EXPECT to provide parking as part of the room cost. I did re-check the hotel listing - normally I avoid hotels with extra charges - but it IS in the listing, I just missed it. With a light rail stop directly outside the hotel, I was pleased to be able to leave my car in the hotel's over-priced parking lot and travel into town by light rail (I was attending meetings at the Capitol) for just $3.50 a day. The outdoor pool was chilly but very pleasant. The breakfast was not very special - particularly their choice of only one (or no) meat dish. One day was just biscuits and gravy. However, the coffee was hot and the fruit juice was good.

Frank at reception was a great guy and made our stay even better. Frank was always very polite and helpful and it was nice to be greeted by a friendly person when returning or leaving the complex. Our room was spacious modern and clean. The beds were comfy. Having a full breakfast provided by the motel every morning was a great addition to our stay. Alfred the chef was always up for a chat and gave us plenty of suggestions on what to do in the area. Alfred’s food was always cooked fresh and spot on. The location was perfect for us located right next to Sacramento State University we will definitely be back. Just a special thanks to Frank and Alfred for making our trip to America extra special.

The staff at the desk and the breakfast were friendly and happy. we felt welcomed for sure. The location was great because it was directly between the tram (train) and next to a major freeway. The surroundings are not pretty at all, but the location for us was amazing. The price was high for the room, but we had a short timeline to get a hotel this time.
